How Saveit India Works?

In addition to the discounts for online shopping that are listed on Saveitidia site, we also give you an option of earning additional cashback on your online purchases. Stores and offers that have additional cashback can be identified by looking for labels in red like '+ Upto 5% saveit Cashback' or '+ Flat Rs. 100 saveit Rewards’ etc.

  1. To earn cashback, please ensure that you get redirected to the store only via the Saveitindia link and make your purchase.
  2. Once your purchase is completed, we usually track it within 48 hours and your cashback is added to your pending balance.
  3. Stores wait for the return and exchange period to be over before giving us the final confirmation of the sale. This process can usually take 4-8 weeks depending on the store.
  4. Once we receive final confirmation of the sale from the merchant your pending cashback is made available for you to use.
  5. Cashback earned from Saveit is your money and can be used to recharge online wallet, phone or DTH accounts or even transferred to your bank account.

Note: Amount added to your pending balance is indicative and may change upon final confirmation from the store. Cashback earned from some merchants cannot be withdrawn to a bank account.

Online stores like Flipkart, Snapdeal allow cashback earned from them to be used only for transfers to an online wallet like PayTM; or making a mobile phone or DTH recharge. To make this different easier to understand, the cashback earned from these merchants is referred to as Saveit Rewards.

The process for earning of Saveit Rewards is the same as Saveit Cashback, and the only distinction being that Saveit Rewards cannot be withdrawn to a bank account. It is due to this, that the available balance on a bank transfer page may be less than your actual available balance.

Any stores carrying Rewards instead of Cashback will explicitly mention them on the respective store pages. The majority of stores do not carry rewards.

Pending Balance contains amounts that you have earned but can't yet redeem. Your pending balance contains amounts from purchases made at cashback stores and/or any bonus amount that you might have earned from Saveit.

Available Balance is the amount that you can withdraw immediately (minimum withdrawal limits apply).

How my pending balances become available balance?

Pending balance earned from purchases made at cashback stores usually requires 4-8 weeks wait period before which it becomes available. This is because most stores wait until their return and exchange period is over before confirming a purchase. If a merchant deems a purchase as cancelled or exchanged, the pending balance does not become available and is removed from your account.

Pending balance earned from promotional activity like referrals and joining schemes; has its own conditions that must be fulfilled for it to become available.

Why does Saveit cashback take so long to confirm?

Unfortunately, the cashback process is such that we have to wait for the store to confirm to us that the purchase was not returned or exchanged. Merchants also use this time to validate that the sale has met conditions for earning of cashback. To learn more about these conditions please ensure to read the 'Useful Tips' section for cashback stores.

We constantly work with stores to reduce this wait period. However, just to be on the safe side we inform you that it may usually take 4-8 weeks for a transaction to be confirmed.

I made a recharge which cannot be returned or cancelled, why do I still have to wait for 12 week.

We understand that the waiting period for transactions like food and recharges is excruciatingly long despite the return and cancel period being very short or none.

However, stores like Dominos do not give us confirmation of transactions immediately. Their processes are such that we get confirmation for such sales at the end of the following month, which is why there is a delay in confirming even instantaneous transactions.

We apologize for this, and assure you that we are working closely with such merchants to reduce the wait times.

Paytm confirm my cashback in few mintues,why can't you do the same?

There is a distinction between the cashback given to you by a store like PayTM and the cashback that you earn via Saveit.

For a transaction which happens on PayTM, they can instantaneously credit your account with cashback, whereas we have to wait for PayTM to validate the transaction and credit your account. This process takes time and this is why there is a delay in cashback from Saveit becoming available to use.

On the bright side, Saveit Cashback is over and above the discounts that you earn at PayTM so you end up getting a sweeter deal!

There was an offer I saw but it no longer exists on the site. How can I get it?

In some cases, the offers given to us by the store are only valid for a limited duration or until promotion lasts. When the offer reaches its expiration date, we automatically remove it from our Website and Apps.

This is done to ensure that you have a great all around experience and do not attempt to use offers which no longer work.

Cashback

It can take upto 48 hours for Saveit Cashback to get tracked. Please note, merchants accept claims for cashback not tracked cases only till 7th of the subsequent month from the purchase date.

Why my cashback is is pending so long?

Unfortunately the cashback process is such that we have to wait for the store to confirm to us that the purchase was not returned or exchanged. Merchants also use this time to validate that the sale met conditions for earning of cashback. Usually this process takes 4-8 weeks. Why my confirmed cashback was is different from pending cashback?

Pending cashback tracked amounts are indicative and can change upon final confirmation from store.

This is because when a transaction is tracked, most stores do not provide us all the information required to accurately track cashback. Example: Jabong's cashback depends on whether you are a new user or an existing user at Jabong. Other factors like the platform used (Desktop / App / Mobile web etc.), and the specific product category for the item you have purchased also affect the cashback rate. However, during tracking the merchants do not give us this information; which is why we cannot always accurately estimate your cashback amount.

Some common reasons why cashback is declined are:

  • The order was cancelled.
  • The order was returned or partially returned.
  • The order was exchanged or partially exchanged.
  • The order was changed.
  • The order was paid for using a gift code or gift voucher.
  • The order was paid for using Cash on Delivery.
  • The order might have been classified as bulk order from a wholesaler or a travel agent etc.
  • The order did not comply with the store's cashback policy. To see details on store specific cashback policy please see 'Useful Tips' section for cashback merchants.
  • Sometimes stores do not provide us any specific reason for declining the cashback. In such cases a Missing Cashback claim can be filed and we will do our best to find the reason for cancellation of the cashback.

Note: The store holds sole discretion in determining the validity of the cashback transaction.

Simple, just follow the easy steps below to earn cashback:

  • Login to saveitindia.com website
  • Search for the retailer you want to shop on
  • Click-out to their website by clicking on 'Grab Deal' or the red buttons
  • Shop and pay on the retailer's site like you normally do.
  • Retailer now pays us a commission for this sale. We pass that to you as 'Cashback'. Initially your cashback remains in 'Pending' status. Once the return period of your product is over, retailer pays us in the next monthly payment cycle. Your cashback then becomes 'Confirmed'
  • When you have earned a minimum of Rs.250 as Confirmed Cashback, we can pay the money to your Indian bank account via NEFT (for free) or by Amazon / Flipkart Gift Vouchers.

Pending Earnings are those that we have tracked as valid transactions and have been acknowledged by retailers. However, since they are still within the Return or Cancellation period they cannot be paid out to you yet.

Lets take an example. You make a purchase from Jabong.com for Rs. 500. Within 1-3 days you shall receive an email from us acknowledging that you have Pending Earnings of Rs. 55 (at 11% cashback rate).

Now once the cancellation/return period is over, Jabong.com shall confirm this to us and pay us in the next monthly payment cycle. We shall then move Rs. 55 to your Confirmed Earnings.

However, if your plans changed and you had to cancel your order, the transaction is cancelled and the cashback is removed from your Pending Earnings.

Confirmed Earnings are those that have been approved as valid sales from retailers. When you collect a minimum of Rs. 250 in 'Confirmed' cashback we can pay the money to your Indian bank account by NEFT (for free) or by Amazon / Flipkart Gift Vouchers. You need a minimum of Rs. 250 as 'Confirmed' cashback for each payment request.

Unfortunately not! In order to earn cashback, you MUST visit the retailer via Saveitindia.com site. This way the retailer can track that we got them this sale, and we would receive a commission from them. We pay you cashback from this. If you went to the retailer directly, then we will not be able to claim any commission and pay any cashback to you.

General question about cashback

When you shop at retailers via us, retailers pay us a referral fee. Rather than keep this referral fee, we pass maximum amount of it to you as cashback. This referral fee comes from the retailers advertising and customer acquisition budgets.

Firstly, please try opening the retailer link in another browser, or if possible another computer too. To ensure that the problem you have is not being caused by your own settings, please follow these simple steps:

For Google Chrome Users

Enable Cookies: Tools - Options - Under the Hood - Cookie Settings. Please change to Allow all Cookies. Clear Cookies: Go to Tools - Clear Browsing Data. Please change the time range to clear to everything.

For Firefox Users

Enable Cookies: Go to Tools - Options - Privacy. Then please change your settings under History to Remember History. Enable JavaScript: Go to Tools - Options - Content. Then please ensure Enable JavaScript is ticked. Disable pop-up blocker: Go to Tools - Options - Content. Then please ensure Block pop-up windows are not ticked. Clear Cookies: Go to Tools - Clear Recent History. Please change the time range to clear to everything

For Internet Explorer Users

Lower Security Level: Go to Tools - Internet Options - Security. Please lower Security level to Medium. Lower Privacy Settings: Go to Tools - Internet Options - Privacy. Please lower the Security Level to Low. Disable Pop-up Blocker: Tools - Internet Options - Privacy. Please ensure the Pop-up Blocker at the bottom of the options page is not ticked. Clear Cookies: Go to Tools - Delete Browsing History. Please delete all.

If you are getting tracking issue messages, please provide any relevant details on your security settings and/or software.

To enable your cashback to track successfully, we recommend that in your browser settings you permanently allow cookies, JavaScript and third party images. Clear cookies to get started. Log into Saveitindia.com and click on the retailer link on the saveitindia.com site.

Always use the links provided by Saveitindia.com to enter a retailer's site; do not type in retailer names at the top of your browser screen.

Comparison sites - We recommend you do not use a quote reference or code provided by a comparison site. In that case, the commission from the sale would be paid to the comparison site. If we do not receive any commission from retailers we are unable to give cashback to you.

Do not search a comparison site whilst completing a saveitindia.com purchase - again there is a danger that the commission/cashback might accrue to the comparison site instead.

Completing the purchase online: saveitindia.com only works online. So if you buy something over the telephone or in-store, unfortunately saveit.com terms wont apply.

Voucher and gift codes - To get cashback via saveitindia.com please only use voucher codes supplied by saveit.com. Using vouchers not supplied by saveitindia.com may result in another party being credited with your cashback.

Keep all email confirmations and documents from the retailer - just in case you need to use the information for submitting an earnings enquiry.

Tracking

These are a few things that you can be mindful of to ensure that your cashback tracks properly:

  • Be logged into your Saveit account.
  • Ensure that you are shopping at a store that offers Saveitindia Cashback.
  • When you click an offer or store, Saveit will open a window linking you to that store. Please ensure that you transact in the opened window.
  • Please ensure that your shopping cart is empty in the shopping window. If it is not empty please clear the contents of your cart and visit the store via Saveitindia again.
  • Do not use any price comparison or discount widgets while shopping.
  • For merchant specific conditions please view 'Useful Tips' section on the merchant page.

We recommend that you wait for at least 48 hours after the transaction is made. In cases where a transaction was not tracked automatically even after 48 hours, we recommend that you fill a missing cashback form. Information required by us in the missing cashback form is critical for the store to review the transaction.

Unfortunately, we do not have an option for bulk upload of missing transactions. Hence, each claim needs to be individually filed.

When a missing cashback claim is filed, we follow up with the merchant regarding the status of the sale. We are unable to do so in cases where we do not have a proof of purchase. Therefore we do not accept missing cashback claims in case there is no proof of purchase.

Yes, there are stores and offers on which there is no cashback applicable. These will not carry the additional Saveit Cashback label.

If your cashback is cancelled by the retailer, your cashback amount for that transaction will be removed from your pending balance. The status of the transaction will be set to cancel in your cashback activity page.

Store holds sole discretion in determining the validity of a transaction. Unfortunately, once a retailer has made a decision, it is final.

Withdrawal

No, the money in your account never expires. It’s your money and you can use it anytime.

No, there is absolutely no cost or fees applicable to withdrawing your balance.

To withdraw your balance, log in to your Saveitindia account and visit the Transfer section of your profile.

  • Select the method of withdrawal, bank, e-wallet or recharge.
  • Select the account where you wish to transfer your Available Balance.
  • Enter the amount and hit Submit.
  • Bank transfers take between 5-7 business days to reflect in your account. eWallet and Recharge transactions are almost instantaneous but can take upto 48 hours to reflect in your account.

    Note: Cashback earned from some merchants (Saveit Rewards) cannot be withdrawn to a bank account and is listed separately as rewards. Minimum withdrawal limits apply.

Cashback earned from Saveit is your money and can be used to recharge online wallet, phone or DTH accounts or even transferred to your bank account. Minimum withdrawal limits apply.

Note: Cashback earned from some merchants (Saveit Rewards) cannot be withdrawn to a bank account.

Depending on the medium of withdrawal, the minimum amount is set to:

  • Bank - Rs. 250
  • e-Wallet - Rs. 100
  • Mobile Recharge - Rs. 50
  • DTH Recharge - Rs. 75.

At the moment, Flipkart and Snapdeal & amazon do not allow withdrawal of cashback to a bank account. To make such merchants easier to identify, cashback earned from them is labeled as Saveit Rewards.

Sorry, we do not allow transfer of balance from one SaveitIndia account to another.

Bonus

You can earn a bonus amount for each friend that signs up using your referral code and fulfils the requirements related to the referral. There are no caps on the number of friends that you can refer, so you can potentially earn an unlimited amount of money for referring friends to Saveit.

If you have a Code from an ad or a promotional activity, you can apply that here to avail the benefits of the scheme. You can also use this field to enter a referral code from a friend, so that both of you can avail benefits of the running referral scheme!

When you sign up with Saveit using a promotional code, a bonus amount is added to your Pending Balance.

The bonus amount has conditions that must be fulfilled for it to become available.

Referral bonus is added to your pending balance every time someone signs up with Saveit using your referral code. Your friend will need to complete the requirements for your respective bonuses to be made available.

Miscellaneous

If you have signed up on Saveit using Facebook, then every time you wish to log in to your Saveit account, you will also have to be logged in to your Facebook account. Alternately you can login using Google (email id on google and Facebook account needs to be the same), but not with your email id and password.

If you signed up using Google, you can login with Facebook but not with your email id and password. (only if Facebook and Google accounts have been created with the same email id).

If you sign up using your email id and password, you can login using both Facebook and Google. (only if Facebook and Google accounts are created with the same email id).

We’re sorry, but currently we do not have a feature to change the email id on your Saveit account. If you have signed up using an incorrect email address, you can sign up again using your correct email address.

Not at all. This is a FREE Cashback / Rewards service offered by us. You do not have to pay anything for using the Cashback site.

Yes, for many of our retailers we have cashback offers and voucher both. Most retailers pay the same cashback rate if you use a voucher code along with it. However, some retailers might pay a lower rate, and very few might not pay cashback at all if used along with a voucher code. These terms are clearly stated on the individual retailer pages on the saveit.com site so please ensure you check before transacting.
